Robert c. a. frederickson
Icelanders Arrive and Strive - A Manitoba StoryThe great-grandson of Icelanders’ main characters, Robert C. A. Frederickson has insider knowledge—from anecdotes to historic pictures and letters—that give this history a poignant relevance. As a third-generation descendant, he’s contributed to the University of Manitoba Icelandic Collection Archives, the New Iceland Heritage Museum in Gimli, Manitoba, and the Icelandic Emigration Center in Hofsos, Iceland, as well as other Icelandic organizations and initiatives. He received a broad and diverse education at the University of Manitoba, culminating in a PhD in the new field, at the time in Manitoba, of Neuropharmacology. The author of another thought-provoking book, Reality vs Quantum Mysticism, Frederickson writes to resolve issues and share information, while also working on projects to help the planet, including an international green-energy company. When he’s not travelling the world and visiting Iceland to reconnect with distant relatives and good friends, he enjoys retired life in Nanaimo, B.C., reading and hiking with his wife and pet beagle, and getting together with his children and grandchildren whenever he can. |
